Canvas has changed their “voting up a new feature” tool—moving it to the Community area within Canvas. This allows students and professors to submit ideas for new tools and features to Canvas and support ones that other users have. For example, if you would like to see better graphics on the calendar feature, you can submit that idea, and once it gets 30 upvotes, it is considered further by Canvas. Northwestern Canvas users have already been submitting ideas for ways to improve the site, and you can too. Once you log into your Canvas account, all you have to do is click the “help” link in the upper right hand corner. Once the menu comes up, select “submit a feature idea” and from there can you vote up others’ ideas or submit your own.
